The Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project (NVIRP) is a state-owned entity responsible for planning, designing and delivering Australia's largest irrigation modernisation project, located in Victoria's Goulburn Murray Irrigation District (GMID). - the Department of Sustainability and Environment
- the Department of Primary Industries and
- Goulburn-Murray Water.
We may otherwise use or disclose your personal information where required or authorised by law, which may include emergency situations and assisting law enforcement and other government agencies, including the Auditor General.

If at any time you wish to view or alter your personal information, please contact the Privacy Officer (details below). We ask that you provide us with as much detail as you can about the particular information you seek, in order to help us retrieve it. In some cases, we may ask you to put your request in writing or make a formal Freedom of Information application. An access fee may be charged where permitted by law. In certain circumstances, we may not be required by law to provide you with access or to correct your personal information. If that is the case, we will give you our reasons for that decision.

Irrespective of whether personal information is stored electronically or in hard copy form, we are required to take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

The NVIRP website under the domain name nvirp.com.au (the "Website") collects anonymous information through web servers. Information such as the number, date and timing of visits to the website and the pages pf the website visited frequently is collected for statistical purposes only to assist us to improve our service.

We collect such information through our Website and through personal interactions such as interviews and telephone conversations. Some of the personal information we request during the recruitment process is information we are required to collect under workplace laws. NVIRP may exchange your personal information with any referees, educational institutions, former employers and other third parties nominated by you, as well as any recruitment agencies we engage to assist us.
If you chose not to provide us with your personal information then we may not be able to contact you or consider you for employment with NVIRP.
