Environmental Management System
NVIRP has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) that is consistent with ISO 14001:2004, to help identify and assess potential impacts of the project as well as programs and reviews for continual improvement.
A key component of the EMS is the Environmental Policy, which reflects the environmental commitment of all NVIRP employees and contractors to comply with applicable legal requirements and other NVIRP requirements.
Environmental Management Plans
NVIRP's Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) describe processes for the Managing Contractor, Transfield Services Australia and govern the management of environmental risks associated with each year's capital works program.
EMPs are prepared with reference to NVIRP's Environmental Management System (EMS), Construction Environmental Management Framework, conditions of approval under the Planning Scheme Amendment, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, the DSE and other relevant departments and authorities.
